Peter Park & Miles Morales Catches Players Up Before Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Drops

October 19, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Here’s a little refresher.

Come on, it’s hard not to be excited about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Even if you’re gaming on the Xbox Series X/S console, you might be bummed not to enjoy this game. Xbox players might feel a bit of the dread PlayStation users felt when Starfield was released. However, if you have a PlayStation 5, the release of the next major exclusive, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, comes tomorrow. The game has gained a lot of attention over the years as we waited for Insomniac Games to bring the new title into the marketplace.

Fortunately, the wait is practically over, as tomorrow, the game officially drops. But if you want a bit of a refresher, then you’re in luck. Today, on the PlayStation X account, a new video dropped. This video offers a small refresher on the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Peter Parker and Miles Morales discuss the past and how they became New York City’s saviors. It’s a condensed version of the recap for both past installments, but hopefully, it’s enough to get you excited for the new game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 occurs after the events of both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Players here are stepping into the role of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. However, a new threat in New York City has our masked heroes again having to put their lives on the line to save the innocents from impending doom. In particular, we know of a few iconic villains that will be stepping into the latest installment.

In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players must deal with villains like Kraven the Hunter, Sandman, Lizard, and the Venom symbiote. This game is also only coming to the PlayStation 5 at its initial launch. As a result, you can expect quite a visually impressive experience along with incredibly fast loading times. In fact, a recent debate online suggested that fast travel wasn’t as fast as videos made it seem. However, since that debate sparked quite a bit of attention online, one developer cleared the air.

Again, we don’t have long to wait before we can start web-swinging around New York City and kicking thugs butts in the streets. If you haven’t already preordered a copy of the game, you can expect Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to land in the marketplace tomorrow, October 20, 2023, for the PlayStation 5 platform. You can also find a trailer for the game below when you’re done catching up on the storylines from the past two games.
