So who was worse in your mind? Ronda Rousey or Megan Fox? Let us know below!
ORIGINAL STORY
Mortal Kombat 1 has been on many people’s minds since its launch. Sometimes, it was for a good reason, and other times it was for a bad reason. For example, the game’s launch was hyped, and critics loved the game’s looks, new story, the brutality of the fights, and more. However, if you had the Nintendo Switch version, you were out of luck quality-wise. Then, there was the fact that one of the biggest “stars” of the game, Megan Fox, turned out to be a total dud when it came to her voice acting. So fans highlighted how “good they had it” in the last game.
If you recall, Mortal Kombat 11 also had a “big female star” coming in to voice one of the characters. Her name was Ronda Rousey, the MMA and former wrestling star who was brought in to be the voice of Sonya Blade. The idea itself made sense as both are strong female fighters who took no crap and kind of looked like one another in certain aspects. However, as one Redditor reminded fans, Ronda Rousey wasn’t a voice actor either, and thus, many of her intros were terrible.
For those of you pretending that Ronda’s voice acting in MK11 was not just as bad as Megan’s

While we’ll admit that some of her line deliveries weren’t the worst, some were just plain awful. Ironically, one of the ones that she did fine in was when Sonya was talking with herself! The reason people truly brought this up is that while Ronda Rousey was bad, Megan Fox was MUCH worse to the extent that her line delivery was pretty much one-note throughout. It didn’t matter if she was yelling, talking, or something else entirely; she was just bad.
The other reason that this is being brought up is that Ed Boon said that initially, he thought about having an all-star cast of A-list actors voice Mortal Kombat 1. He even dropped names for actors like Keanu Reeves, as he felt that it would “elevate” the game even more. While that’s an intriguing notion, it’s not something that fans were truly interested in. Between Ronda Rousey, Megan Fox, and Jean-Claude Van Damme, we have a nice “cropping” of “A-List Stars” who have fallen flat on their faces while voice acting.
Now, yes, there have been exceptions, like Keith David and the upcoming J.K Simmons, but those are just that, exceptions, not the rule.
