Nintendo Switch 2 Has More Games Shared By Insiders

October 9, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Nothing has been officially confirmed.

The Nintendo Switch is on its way out. This will likely be the last significant year for the console, with Nintendo working on a successor. We haven’t seen what this new console will offer yet officially. Instead, all we have to go off from right now is a series of supposed leaks and insiders revealing what they have heard. So, while we’re waiting for the next console to be unveiled to the masses officially, a new set of games has leaked out online for the new console. Again, this is nothing official, so we shouldn’t take too much information from this as being legitimate.

The next major Monster Hunter game could come with the new console. We’re finding out from Comicbook.com that two insiders have stated what games are coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. One is Necrolipe, claiming that the next main installment to the Monster Hunter franchise will be delivered onto the Nintendo Switch 2. Being that Monster Hunter is a massive franchise from Capcom, the fact that this new game can supposedly run on the new Nintendo console could highlight that this next console iteration won’t lack power.

That is one area this current model is dealing with. Several third-party game developers leave the Nintendo Switch out of the equation when developing their projects. Then, some third-party games deliver a less than stellar experience, like the more recent release, Mortal Kombat 1. At any rate, another game is supposedly in the works for the new console, another installment to the Super Monkey Ball video game franchise.

According to Zippo, a new installment is coming to Super Monkey Ball, and it will be delivered on the Nintendo Switch 2 a few months after the console releases. Details for both games are scarce, and we’ll likely have to wait a bit before they are unveiled to the public. Likewise, it’s noteworthy that neither of these two games will probably be exclusives. So you should likely see these games launch on competitor platforms as well.

Again, we’re still waiting on the official reveal for the Nintendo Switch 2. We’ve heard plenty of rumors about what to expect. For instance, one of the more recent reports suggested that we’ll see two SKUs that would feature a standard Nintendo Switch 2 and a digital-only version of the console. Likewise, we’re also hopeful that we’ll see some backward compatibility features to ensure your Nintendo Switch games can play on the new console.
