Take-Two Interactive Releasing Two Previous Released Games In 2024

July 5, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Take-Two Interactive has something in the works.

We’ve been reporting heavily on the notion of a Red Dead Redemption remastered edition for a good while now. There were plenty of clues to hone in on that suggested this game was coming. However, it looks like it won’t be released by itself, as another past video game installment will get a new launch. Of course, the games have yet to be officially unveiled to the masses. Still, that hasn’t stopped fans from eagerly awaiting their announcements, as the second game release title is anyone’s guess right now. Fortunately, the wait to find out what these games actually are might not be too far away.

The news came from Twitter user Videotechx, who is known for delivering news regarding Rockstar Games. Their latest tweet noted that Take-Two Interactive plans to release two new game iterations of previously-released titles. These games would be coming out in Fiscal 2024, so that should hopefully mean an announcement is coming sooner rather than later. Again, we have previous clues that a new remastered edition release for Red Dead Redemption is in the works. For instance, there was a rating within Korea for the game title, and trophies were recently visually updated. So it would seem that Red Dead Redemption is a safe bet to go with. However, now the question is just what this second game title might be.

Hmm…

Take-Two has unveiled its plans for Fiscal 2024, which spans from now until March 2024. Among their initiatives for this period, they have mentioned the release of two "previously-released titles." As of now, I don't recall them officially announcing these projects yet. pic.twitter.com/BNvHni5ybV

Plenty of fans are chiming in with their hopes on what game could be coming out alongside it. For instance, there are plenty of fans hopeful that if a Red Dead Redemption remastered edition is coming out, then maybe it means a next-generation updated version of Red Dead Redemption 2 is also underway. It would make a bit of sense as the game has yet to receive a proper update for the latest-generation hardware, and Red Dead Redemption 2 acts as a prequel to Red Dead Redemption.

Fans could be getting a full game narrative experience on the latest-generation hardware. That might make it a bit appealing for those who had already played Red Dead Redemption 2 on last-generation hardware since we would have a remaster of the first installment. But at any rate, we don’t have any official news regarding just what these games will be when the 2024 fiscal year starts. In the meantime, we’ll just have to continue monitoring Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive to see if some player’s hunches are right, and we’re once again stepping back into the wild west.
