Arguably one of the biggest and most anticipated Xbox exclusives to drop in recent years is nearly here. Starfield will be coming out into the marketplace this September, and with it will be a flood of likely new Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. But fans who have been waiting on this game for a good while now might be keen on picking up some of the peripherals that are themed for this game. It’s not uncommon for big game releases to have themed controllers or headsets.
We have already seen plenty of leaks of both a Starfield-themed controller and a headset in the works. That’s nothing new, and while we might be waiting for the official word to come out, we have something else to attach to these leaks. It looks like another leak has emerged online that suggests the launch dates for the Starfield controller and headset will be arriving sooner than you might have anticipated. If this leak proves to be real, then we could see these peripherals launch this coming week.
The leak comes from Billbil-kun, who has been a reliable industry insider. In a recent tweet today, the industry insider revealed that the release date of the Starfield controller and the headset would be June 11, 2023. If that date sounds familiar to you, that’s the date Microsoft will be holding their Xbox Games Showcase along with the next deep dive on Bethesda’s Starfield. This report also goes on to state the controller will set players back $79.99 while the headset will cost them $124.99.
So if this leak proves to be real, we’ll likely see the grand official reveal of these Starfield theme peripherals at the Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield deep dive. Furthermore, you’ll likely get the option to purchase these peripherals after the show wraps up. So if you’re excited about this upcoming new RPG IP from the Bethesda team, you can get your hands on some of the special release peripherals ahead of the actual video game launch.
Of course, with all that said, you will want to take this news as nothing more than a rumor right now. Well, have to continue and wait for the official Xbox Game Showcase event to kick off and see if there’s any mention of these peripherals and their release date.
