The final DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider, Cold Darkness Awakened, will launch next week, on March 29th, Square Enix announced today in a press release.
The DLC will be available from that date on PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One and will be accessible through the Xbox Marketplace, Steam or the Windows 10 store.
Season Pass holders will be able to download the DLC for free but its standalone price has not yet been announced.
Cold Darkness Awakened introduces a new wave-based combat mode to the game in which Lara faces off against groups of infected enemies.
Previous DLC released for the game has included Endurance Mode and Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, which launched back in January.
A new trailer for Rise of the Tomb Raider, titled ‘The Complete Experience’, has been released and offers a quick glimpse of what you can expect from the DLC but details remain scarce. You can check out the video above.
Rise of the Tomb Raider launched last November for Xbox One and Xbox 360 before coming to PC in January. The game is still scheduled for release later this year on PlayStation 4. Despite concerns over sales of the game, Microsoft confirmed in early January that more than one million copies were sold on Xbox One.
There has been speculation in recent weeks about the movie reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise. Recent reports have suggested that Star Wars‘ Daisy Ridley is being considered for the role of Lara Croft and the actress confirmed that talks have taken place.
