Are you getting hyped for Street Fighter 6? If you’re not, it’s not for lack of trying on the part of Capcom. While it’s always a debate on how much a publisher will and should promote a title, Capcom has been doing incredibly with their upcoming game in the long-running franchise. The character trailers have been entertaining to watch, and they’ve shown the game at numerous events across multiple brands. But arguably, the biggest way they’ve been highlighting the game is by doing the “developer matches.” These fights made by the team perfectly show off two characters at a time and showcase the moves and flow of battles in the title.
So, who are the next fighters that get the spotlight? That would be the dancer Manon, one of the new characters of the game, and Cammy White, one of the big fan-favorites of the franchise. The Capcom team has been going for some themed fights lately, and it shows here. After all, Manon is a dancer, and thus her moves are graceful yet powerful. As for Cammy, she’s a trained assassin, and her moves are powerful yet very agile and stunning in their precision.
These features of these powerful women are on full display in the match below. Cammy uses various methods to take down her foe, including swift strikes, powerful grapples, and epic combos. Meanwhile, Manon uses her grace and flexibility to deliver unique strikes, including a Super Art that basically has her dancing with her foe before throwing them down for big damage.
Both sides landed some big blows and fell the other. Yet, in the end, the assassin came out on top, which fans will no doubt approve of. You can watch the full match below.
Since we’re still two months from the game’s release, you can expect more developer matches like these. The only question is who will be in each one. They’ve recently been focusing on pairing up the “old guard” with some new characters, so perhaps that’s something to expect going forward.
It’s also possible that Capcom has some more surprises in store for fans. We know the team has put a lot into making the game accessible and fun. They’re trying their hardest not to repeat the mistakes of the past, and based on what we’re seeing so far, they’re making good on that hope.
All will be revealed on June 2, so check out these developer matches and see who you will main when Street Fighter 6 arrives!
