March 20, 2016 by Ryan Parreno

Activision accidentally shared a preview of Call of Duty Black Ops 3’s 2nd Zombies DLC pack.

Activision seems to have shared a preview of Call of Duty Black Ops 3‘s 2nd Zombies DLC pack.

Activision shared a promotional email linking to the above art from the DLC pack, before details for the DLC were officially unveiled. The email was referring to Call of Duty Black Ops 3‘s Season Pass, and linked to the official site’s ‘Get More Themes’ page, which featured the art. The page itself also revealed that players who bought the Season Pass would get this art as a theme for free.

The first Call of Duty Black Ops 3 DLC, called Awakening, was released early in February. You can learn more about it here, here, here, and here. This early preview for the 2nd DLC pack is not a significant spoiler since we can guess where it is going based on Awakening‘s contents.

Spoilers follow below after the image.

Black Ops 3 Zombies The Giant

Both Shadows of Evil and The Giant storylines from Awakening‘s Zombies content are connected by a single conceit – a power hungry Richtofen traveling between alternate timelines. Richtofen and the three soldiers from the original Zombies storyline, Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo, end up working together to try to change the timelines so that the zombie outbreak never happens. In the end, Richtofen is able to execute his plan to eliminate the original Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo, to keep the zombie outbreak from occurring. He is able to preserve the three soldiers by capturing their souls into his Summoning Key. Without a doubt, what happens next after these events will be the subject matter of the 2nd Zombies DLC.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is available on PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
