We’re getting ready to dive into the next main expansion release for Destiny 2. The new storyline will put us into another epic battle focusing on the Shadow Legion. If you’ve been following the latest news to come out for Destiny 2: Lightfall, then today, we have something new to share. Thanks to an upload on the official PlayStation YouTube channel, we’re looking at some of the weapons and gear this expansion will bring.
Destiny 2: Lightfall will land next month, and an epic battle on Neptune comes with it. Players will be roaming a new city called Neomuna. This futuristic cyberpunk city is home to humans that have lived essentially alone with the aid of Cloud Striders. However, a new threat emerged with Emperor Calus and his Shadow Legion. Once Calus had discovered the city, the attacks were proving too much for the city’s defenses to handle. As a result, they have called for aid from the Vanguard. So get ready for another uphill battle and protect this city from its impending doom.
Of course, being that this is a new expansion, players will have new Cloud Strider technology. This means new weapons and gear for you to make use of. The developers offered a small glimpse of some of these weapons in a new trailer highlight. You can get a quick rundown of some of these new pieces of weaponry in the video above. Developers are not expanding too much on any given piece, but it will at least give you more insight into what you can expect when this expansion arrives in the marketplace.

Currently, Destiny 2: Lightfall will be released on February 28, 2023, for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. However, you can expect more creative risks to come for the Destiny 2 video game in the future. It was at the end of last year that Joe Blackburn, the game director behind Destiny 2, alerted fans that they would put new exciting content into the game. As a result, more creative risks will be made, but they already have some seasonal content planned out, so we’ll likely not see some of these new creative risks until later on this year. Regardless, if you found Destiny 2 to be a bit stale lately, then this might sway you to keep pressing on with the game.
