Nintendo has announced that the Legendary Pokémon trio of Regirock, Regice, and Registeel are now available to unlock through the Pokémon Bank. These rare pocket monsters can be used in Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Each Pokémon comes with a new Hidden Ability and will be available until October 31st. The Pokémon can be accessed through the Pokémon Bank in any of the games listed above.
In addition, the mythical Pokémon Celebi is available for all Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire players as a Mystery Gift that can be downloaded to their game until March 21st.
Regirock, Regice, and Registeel are all level 5o and can be obtained only once via the Pokémon Link.
Regirock’s new ability is Sturdy, which allows it to survive a hit that would normally knock it out and retain a single HP. Regice now comes with Ice Body, which helps heal the Pokémon whenever the weather condition is hail. Finally, Registeel’s ability is Light Metal, which reduces the amount of damage received from attacks that becoming increasingly powerful the more they’re used such as Low Kick and Grass Knot.
These promotions are taking place to mark the 20th anniversary of the Pokémon series. Last month, the original Pokémon games Blue, Red, and Yellow were re-released through the Nintendo 3DS eShop’s Virtual Console and the games are compatible with Pokémon Bank.
Later this year, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will be released on 3DS.
