Conan O’Brien returned last night with a new Clueless Gamer episode starring none other than UFC 2 cover star Conor McGregor.
The host took on the featherweight fighter for the segment and luckily for Conan, it was an in-game performance as McGregor kicked his ass. As you can see in the video above, things didn’t exactly go well for the host. Still, it’s pretty funny watching the fighter based on Conan go toe-to-toe with McGregor’s in-game persona for a lightweight match. The Irish fighter plans to fight to both lightweight and welterweight matches in future so the choice was appropriate.
McGregor even jokes about Conan’s “bread basket” and how easy it’d be for him to put his foot through it. Conan has made no secret of his general dislike of gaming but his Clueless Gamer segments are usually amusing even if they are essentially advertisements.
EA Sports UFC 2 is set for release on March 15th in North America and on March 17th in Europe for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. McGregor appears on the cover alongside Ronda Rousey. Both fighters have suffered some heavy losses since they confirmed for the box and some claim they’re once again suffering from the curse of the cover.
EA recently confirmed the game’s full roster of over 250 fighters, as well as their in-game models. Several UFC fighters have expressed their dismay at their representation in the game. EA detailed the game’s five modes back in November.
Previous Clueless Gamer segments have tackled id Software’s DOOM and Ubisoft’s Far Cry Primal.
