A new teaser trailer was revealed on Wednesday for the upcoming anime series My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1. The main cast of the series was also announced as part of the trailer reveal. Kaito Ishikawa will voice the male protagonist Ryota Sato. He’s joined by former colleague Rin Kusumi, who will be voicing the female protagonist role of Emily Brown. My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1 is animated by studio Maho Film and will release in July 2023.

Maho Film is best known for animating series such as I’m Standing on 1,000,000 Lives, If It’s For My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord, By The Grace of the Gods, and In the Land of Leadade. Founded in 2018, Maho Film has become a new center for isekai and fantasy anime. While they released the slice-of-life series Let’s Make a Mug Too back in Spring 2021, the overwhelming majority of the studio’s work is still within the isekai-fantasy genre. The studio currently has three different locations throughout Tokyo with a total of 50 employees, according to the official website.

This will make it the second time Ishikawa and Kusumi have worked together on an anime series. Ishikawa was also in The Yakuza’s Guide to babysitting as the hilarious comedic relief Kei Sugihara.
My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Light Novel
Written by Nazuna Miki and illustrated by Subachi, My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1 originally ran for three years on the Shousetsuka ni Narou user-publishing website between 2017-2020. Kodansha acquired the series in 2017 and began printing volumes in August of that year. There are currently 7 volumes out as of December 2019. Kodansha USA began printing out volumes in English earlier this month with Volume 2 set to release on May 30, 2023. A manga adaptation of the light novel illustrated by Mawata began publishing in 2019 and has since released a total of 10 volumes—the first 8 volumes have also been published in English with Volume 9 set to release on January 31, 2023.
My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1 currently has 1.1 million copies in circulation as of January 2023.
