The wait is finally over for those who’ve been eager to explore the world of Monster Hunter Rise on Xbox and PlayStation. The hit Capcom title, which has already sold more than a staggering 11 million units on Nintendo Switch and PC, is now available to play on Microsoft and Sony’s platforms.
Monster Hunter Rise has been a big success so far for Capcom, which is looking to broaden its audience even further with today’s global release of the title on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The game will also be available to play for those with an active subscription to Xbox Game Pass and will be on console, PC and cloud for eager monster hunters. The new console release of Monster Hunter Rise has also been marked with a new trailer, which you can check out right here to get a feel for the action if you haven’t had the chance to play the game already on Nintendo Switch or on PC.
Players will find themselves thrust into a new world in Monster Hunter Rise, as they attempt to defend the vibrant setting of Kamura Village from the coming Rampage event. The overall premise of the title focuses on, unsurprisingly, monster hunting, so there are plenty of unique and sizeable beasts for players to contend with as they work on the defence of their new home. Players will need to master their skills as hunters in the main game ahead of the additional release of the popular Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise, which will be joining the lineup on all of the game’s new platforms in the spring.
Monster Hunter Rise offers features that’ll improve the overall experience on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, such as support for 4K resolution at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC. There are also advanced graphics options, voice chat and 3D audio. Players can also take part in some brand new event quests in-game as of today, for the chance to bag some unique rewards. The game’s multiplayer features have also been improved, with the addition of a new new “Hunter Connect” feature. This allows players to create tags with their objectives and playstyles, search for other players with the same tags, or invite friends to any tags they have joined.
Monster Hunter Rise is now live on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. It’s also available on Nintendo Switch and on PC via Steam.
