Frustrated By Body Collision Issues In The Division? Here’s A Fix

March 10, 2016 by Holly Green

An exploited glitch can be no longer be used to grief other players.

Tom-Clancys-The-Division-receives-a-new-screenshotAre you playing The Division and getting frustrated by a certain body collision issue? Specifically, the issue of being griefed and physically obstructed by another player and unable to move forward? As we previously reported, this issue was being exploited recently by in-game trolls, frustrating their fellow players. As it turns out there’s a simple work-around.

Speaking with Gamespot, Ubisoft explains that if you push long enough, your character will pass through the bodies of other players, allowing you to move on:

“If you run into the unfortunate event where other players are blocking your path and you’re unable to enter or exit safe houses or the Dark Zone, make sure to keep this workaround in mind: Players can force their way past (or through) others by continuously running into said players for ~3 seconds. This will result in you passing through their character model, at which point you can get back on mission.”

This news makes me wish other games would find a solution for path obstruction; I’ve practically burst a blood vessel yelling at clueless NPCs in Fallout and The Elder Scrolls for trapping me in rooms by blocking an open doorway.

The Division launched this week on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, with server issues heavily plaguing the release since day one. The NVIDIA drivers for the PC version have also been described as “dangerously unstable”.
