Hogwarts Legacy is one of the more highly anticipated video game titles being released this year. After a long wait through 2022, we’re finally nearing the release of this upcoming game. But if you’re planning to purchase this game on the PC platform, then you might want to make sure your PC is capable of running it. Fortunately, we have the final PC system requirements for this game which come directly from the development team over at Avalanche Software. Here’s what you’ll need to have in your PC to ensure it’s ready to run this game upon its release.
Just like other games on the PC platform, Hogwarts Legacy has a minimum and recommended system requirements. So if you’re not running the latest components on your system, you should still be able to enjoy the game with lower settings turned on. Both settings were highlighted in the recent tweet that went out from the official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account. You can check out both system requirements listed down below.
Hogwarts Legacy Minimum PC System Requirements
- OS 64-bit Windows 10
- CPU Intel i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400
- RAM 16 GB
- GPU GeForce GTX 960 4GB or Radeon RX 470 4GB
- Directx Version DX 12

Hogwarts Legacy Recommended PC System Requirements

It’s worth noting that on the minimum system requirements, this uses low-quality settings that should reach 30 FPS at 720p. Meanwhile, those that are able to run the game with the recommended system requirements should be able to reach 1080p at 60 FPS using high-quality settings.
Currently, Hogwarts Legacy is set to launch next month. Players will be able to embark on their magical journey on February 10, 2023, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. Meanwhile, those that are on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch platforms should see the game released later on in the year.
