Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot – Bardock: Alone Against Fate Now Has A Launch Trailer

January 10, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Get ready for the DLC to drop this week.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was released back in January 2020, and this action RPG received quite a positive reception online. However, despite the game’s release several years ago at this point, the title has continued to see support with DLC. The latest DLC is set to release this week, and we already know what it’s about. Players will get to go through a narrative following Bardock, the father of Goku. While we’re still just a few days shy of the game DLC launching into the marketplace, there is a launch trailer readily available for you to check out. Take a look at the latest footage in the video we have embedded above.

Overall, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is an open-world action RPG set within the Dragon Ball universe. Similar to previous Dragon Ball Z video game titles, the plot follows along the anime series, but since it is open-world, players are able to participate in different activities when not actively going on to the next main quest. For instance, players can drive a hover car, train, and fish, among other activities. However, once you finish the main storyline, there are DLC releases that bring in more content, such as storylines centered around Battle of Gods, and Resurrection F, among other story arcs.

As mentioned, the latest DLC is centered around Bardock. Players can go through the Bardock: Against Fate DLC, which drops on January 13, 2023. This is a narrative we’ve seen play out in the past, but we’ll avoid spoiling too much here if this is your first time experiencing the storyline based on Goku’s father. Bardock is a Saiyan that joined in with Frieza’s army, eliminating other species from the galaxy. However, Bardock makes a discovery that forces him to take action against Frieza and his army.

This DLC is set to launch on January 13, 2023. Although, there are rumors of what the next DLC release will bring. Likewise, if you haven’t already done so, you can pick up the game and DLCs for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the PC platform. Meanwhile, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms are set to also receive the base game on January 13, 2023, alongside the launch of the latest DLC release. While we don’t have Before You Buy coverage for the various DLC releases on Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, you can check out our coverage for the base game in the video we have supplied below.
