Homefront: The Revolution is still a few months away yet but publisher Deep Silver has announced some plans for long-term support for the game once it’s released as well as the game’s Goliath Edition.
The Goliath Edition comes with an artbook, an exclusive steelbook, digital extras, the game’s Expansion Pass, and a radio-controlled drone car that features in the game.
The game’s developer, Dambuster Studio, has outlined the level of post-launch support players can expect when they get their hands on the game. The cooperative Resistance mode will be regularly updated throughout 2016 and into 2017 with free content. Over a period of least 12 months, new challenges, features, items, and missions will all be released. There’s also a dedicated team at Dambuster working on single player content for the first year after release. All of the game’s post-release single player content will be available as part of the game’s Expansion Pass.
Dambuster has previously said the game won’t have a multiplayer season pass as all Resistance content will be free and that loot crate microtransactions do not represent a “pay-to-win” system.
A price for Homefront: The Revolution’s Goliath Edition has not yet been announced but the shooter launches on May 17th in North America and on May 20th in Europe for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
The game is the sequel to 2011’s Homefront and is set in a near-future America which has been invaded by a united Korea.
