Today the latest downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate arrives on all platforms and Ubisoft is marking this occasion with an all new launch trailer. Entitled The Last Maharaja this chapter offers ten new missions centered on Duleep Singh as he challenges the Queen in his quest to reclaim his birthright as, you guessed it, the titular last Maharaja.
The DLC can be purchased separately for $6.99 but is also included as part of the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Season Pass, which for $29.99 has a host of other goodies like the Hunt Down Jack The Ripper DLC, two steampunk and Victorian themed sets of gear and weapons, a permanent XP boost, a 500 Helix credits pack, and the exclusive mission A Long Night. The launch trailer can be seen above and a gallery with two new images from the DLC is available below.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate debuted on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 23, 2015 to mostly positive reviews. A release on PC followed on November 19. As previously reported, Ubisoft will be taking a break from the series for 2016, stepping back to reassess the games and “evolve game mechanics” before moving forward with another installment in the franchise. Ubisoft president Yves Guillemot also cited a desire for the games to have a longer polishing time pre-release so as to reduce bugs and post-release patches.
An official Assassin’s Creed movie, starring Michael Fassbender, is slated for release on December 21 of this year, and is said to be a “separate entity” from the game series, established independently of the story line of the games so that the film brand may grow independently.
