Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Could Arrive on March 16

December 5, 2022 by John McDonald

That’s according to Steam, anyway.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a hugely successful game from 2019

This is a game that has had rumors attached to it since even before it was announced. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to be the sequel to 2019s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and will hope to build on everything that the first game established and then elevate the experience tenfold, which will be a tough task seeing as the Fallen Order was so good. Well, to go with those rumors we have another slither of news here as the official Steam page for the game has gone live and the release date could have well been revealed.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Steam page has now gone live prior to any official announcement coming from EA. There were some earlier reports that suggested the game would be looking at a March release window, but the game’s listing looked to have given a very specific date. For months now, insiders have claimed that the game would launch sometime in March 2023, with this release window being confirmed by EA’s Andrew Wilson during an investor call last month.

Then, to add fuel to the fire, well-known video game journalist Tom Henderson spoke to sources that announced the game would be making an appearance at The Game Awards that will be taking place on Thursday, we even reported on it ourselves. What is expected at this year’s event is a never before seen trailer and an official launch date for the game that is set to appear 30 minutes into the presentation.

Fans of the franchise never miss a trick either, and the hype surrounding the game reached a high over the weekend after EA’s Star Wars social channels looked to have changed their profile and header images to that of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. This might not mean anything to most people, but it usually means that an announcement will soon be upon us. As we know, there has been no official announcement from EA, but with the Steam page going live, we could already have half the news that will be announced on Thursday.

The game itself will pick up five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal Kestis must stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit as he continues to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy. It’s all very vague but hopefully, the sneak preview at The Game Awards will open our eyes to a bit more.
