Toy maker Multiverse Studio Inc. has today announced a range of Street Fighter themed mini figures that are officially licensed by Capcom.
The Street Fighter Mini Figure Collection offers fans four characters to collect in its first series, with more likely to be released in future. The available characters will be Ryu, Blanka, Chun-Li, and Guile.
These iconic World Warriors have been brought to life by emerging illustrator Miguel Wilson and measure between four and five inches (10 to 13 centimeters) in height depending on the character in question. Each figure is crafted from solid PVC and comes packaged in a window box mimicking Street Fighter arcade cabinets for those on a nostalgia trip.
Each character will cost $13.99 but you’ll have to wait for them, the Street Fighter Mini Figure Collection is not due to launch until the third quarter of 2016.
Street Fighter 5’s third and final beta was hosted on January 30th and 31st for those who’ve pre-ordered the game. If you hadn’t, or simply missed out on the beta, you won’t need to wait too long to get your hands on it – Street Fighter 5 launches on PC and PlayStation 4 on February 16th.
A significant story content update is planned for release in June. The update will add an hour of cinematic content, with events occurring in real-time and in-game models. By the sounds of it, Capcom has plenty of content lined up for the game post-launch, with producer Yoshi Ono previously discussing a five-year plan for the game. He did caution that things may change once the game is “out in the wild”.
