The Valiant “Companions” Trailer Has Been Released

Publishers at THQ Nordic have released the trailer for their newest game, The Valiant. The trailer showcases the game’s playable characters, such as Theoderich von Akenburg, the storyline’s main character, and Konrad the Archer. While not too many details have been released about the game, the gameplay looks promising.

Players will take on the life of a fearless crusader and huntsman, Theoderich von Akenburg, who has been called into action to locate a chunk of an ancient artifact known as The Rod of Aaron. This artifact holds immense power, which was never meant for mere mortals to possess. Urich becomes overtly obsessed with the Rod of Aaron and seeks to use the power for selfish reasons once he learns that it could give him powers the world has never seen before. The game’s goal is to complete quests while searching for all of the missing pieces of the Rod before it falls into the wrong hands; Urich von Grevel’s hands.

The trailer shows the abilities that the different characters have. Konrad comes with a volley to take down multiple enemies at one time with its area of effect (AoE) and the ability to set down numerous traps for the opposition to walk right into. It shows that the playable heroes will have both offensive and defensive skill trees to tap into, adding more depth to the gameplay. Grimhild, Captain of the Raven Company, sports a two-handed spear or one-handed spear and shield, along with a few devastating melee abilities. All heroes are shown to come with unique capabilities for players to utilize in battle.
