Rise of the Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Pillars of Eternity have all been nominated in the video game category of the Writers Guild of America Awards.
The Awards will take place at concurrent ceremonies in New York and Los Angeles on February 13, Variety reports. Judging for the prize is undertaken by panels consisting of members of the Video Game Writers Caucus and/or members of the Writers Guild active in video game writing.
While the screenplay feature film awards must be written under WGA jurisdiction, video games are not required to meet that criteria. Eligible games must have been released between December 1st, 2014 and November 30th, 2015, and include on-screen writing credits.
Credited video game writers must be members of the WGA Video Game Writers Caucus or have applied to join when the scripts were submitted.
Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann won the 2015 award for his work on the Left Behind DLC for The Last of Us.
