During the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Blizzard unveiled the fifth and last class available in Diablo 4–the Necromancer.
The Necromancer is joining the four already announced classes of Diablo 4: Barbarian, Druid, Rogue, and Sorcerer. Earlier today, Activision Blizzard opened the pre-registration for the beta of Diablo 4. While the company didn’t reveal the starting date of this beta, players can sign up for a chance to play on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X/S.
On top of revealing the new Necromancer class, Diablo 4 unveiled a bit of its gameplay. As for the previous entries in the series, this ARPG is full of action and monsters to slay. The game features an open world you can freely explore with a mount, but that you cannot explore alone: Diablo 4 does not feature an offline mode. There are over 140 dungeons in the game as well as strongholds captured by the enemies you need to reclaim. A hostile territory that you claim can become a friendly town, changing the world of Diablo 4 as you play.
“Diablo 4 is the combination of the 25 years history of the franchise, building on top of the best of what’s come before with some unique twists,” said Rod Fergusson, General Manager of the Diablo franchise at Blizzard Entertainment.
The release date for Diablo 4 has not yet been announced. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
