Bungie To Address Weapon Parts Drop Rate In Destiny

November 5, 2015 by Olga Lexell

This week’s update also includes some Trials of Osiris statistics.

With the first weekend of Destiny’s Trials of Osiris ending, Bungie has posted a Weekly Update with a new feature: Statistics of the Week.

In this week's edition, Bungie reports that in this year’s Trials of Osiris, 133,444 players made it to the Lighthouse at least once – that’s about 16.25% of the 820,986 players who attempted the challenge. Bungie, who are all about statistical gameplay analysis, paid close attention to the way players participated in the challenge and are planning to use that information to refine gameplay in the next few weeks.

They also addressed the fact that players need Weapon Parts post-drop rate adjustment. In this month’s update, Bahsee-44 will be authorized as a Weapon Parts dealer and he will accept Glimmer as payment. The blog post also teases changes to the game’s economy in the December update. “Rumor has it that Petra will have use for your Etheric Light, and Eris has been asking if anyone out there is hoarding a surplus of Worm Spore,” writes Bungie.

The update also included a note from Destiny Player Support reminding players that the Festival of the Lost is nearly over; Rare masks that are not upgraded to Legendary status will disappear at that time and many Festival-related items will no longer be available. If you’re still working on getting that candy, check out our guide to the Festival of the Lost.
