Destiny Will Let Guardians Craft Better Weapons from Current Gun Parts

May 29, 2014 by Stephen Daly

If you’re not happy with your gun’s performance, you can always use the parts to make something better.

We've known for a while now that Destiny has a crafting system but now Bungie's revealed that Guardians will be able to take apart their guns and use the components to make something better.

Not getting results from your current weapon? Break it down and use its parts to upgrade a better weapon.

Being able to recycle gun parts is a nice feature and hopefully there will be a toolbench of sorts where you can create unique guns using the parts of the weapons you already own.

Bungie, commenting on the game's crafting system, said:

“The Tower will be a place where you can restore and upgrade your weapons and gear. Some of the loot you capture on your missions will be items that you can equip or wield. Other treasures that you reap from the action you sow will be raw materials that you need to upgrade your inventory.

“The best thing is that your rewards will be pre-destined. The fates know what you need, and your fortunes will favor the brave.”

Destiny will be released on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on September 9th with the beta coming first to PlayStation systems in July.
