19 years after its initial release, Chicago 1930: The Prohibition is now available on GOG. This game follows the battle between the mafia and a special unit of the police as crime tears up the city of Chicago in the 1930s.
Don Falcone and his gang rule over Chicago. To take down the mafia, the police form a special task force unit led by two cops. It is up to you to decide whether you want to become a mobster or join the squad that tries to stop them.
No matter which side you pick, you will lead a team of 5 characters. Each member of your crew has five different attributes, making them more or less efficient when it comes to shooting, fighting at close range, applying first aid, or throwing stuff away. Your mission will be to manage your team as an open turf war is raging in Chicago.
Chicago 1930: The Prohibition first released in November 2003. If the graphics are now outdated and the controls may feel clunky, Chicago 1930: The Prohibition is still worth checking out if you like the gangster era of the United States. Moreover, the game costs less than a dollar on both GOG and Steam, so it would be a cheap addition to your backlog.
Chicago 1930: The Prohibition is available on Steam and GOG for all users of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Classic Mac OS.
