“There cannot be any hope for tomorrow if we don’t fight for today.”
Society as you know it has collapsed, a sure sign that the “normal” life you led prior to this moment is gone. Tom Clancy’s The Division is “a deep, realistic action RPG that feels personal,” according to Ubisoft President Laurent Detoc. It shoves you right into New York, right after society has collapsed. You play as a highly-trained agent, your mission is to figure out how to piece the city back together. You’re not the only one, but you don’t know how many others there are.
The Division is set to give players a lot to work with, with improved graphics, reduced cut scenes, some pretty solid in-game mechanics, and with the delay in release, the possibility of a beta testing period. In today’s Xbox press conference, Detoc announced that Xbox One players will get to participate in the exclusive beta starting December 2015.
After having gone through a closed alpha period, it looks like the game has improved greatly, and it shows no signs of slowing down. It packs some nice firepower and immersive gameplay that’s sure to keep players coming back for more. The Division comes out in 2016.
