Are you counting down the days until Batman: Arkham Knight drops? Maybe you’ve been on the fence about it for the longest time, and not sure which pre-order deal would be best for you. Or you could be outside the US, and having a little trouble figuring out where to pre-order to get exclusive content. YouTuber CabooseXBL and GhostMotleyXT have got you covered.
Some of the pre-order DLC is fairly straightforward, but then there are inconsistencies for others. You’ll have to get specific versions in other countries in order to get the DLC. Below is a breakdown to help you keep track of where to get specific DLC:
Story Packs
· Harley Quinn story pack – Simply pre-order the game from any store, in any country.
· Red Hood story pack – For the US, pre-order any edition of the game from Gamestop. For the UK, pre-order the Batmobile Edition or the Batman: Arkham Knight PlayStation 4 bundle from Game. There appears to be no way of getting this on PC in the UK. For AU/CA, pre-order from EB Games. For those of you in Germany, pre-order from Amazon. Those of you in Holland/Belgium/Netherlands, you should get it from GameMania. For India, pre-order from GamesTheShop. Your order should also come with a free t-shirt.
Missions
· Scarecrow Nightmare Missions – Purchase the game for PlayStation 4. Do note that this is not absolutely necessary; it is a timed exclusive and will be made available to PC and Xbox One later on.
Season Pass
· A Season Pass is included in the digital-only “Premium Edition” of Batman: Arkham Knight.
· The Season Pass by itself is about 21% to 25% off on Steam
Prototype Batmobile
· For the US – Pre-order the “Walmart Exclusive” version from Walmart. Not all editions available in Walmart will have the Prototype Batmobile.
· For the UK – Pre-order the regular edition from Amazon. This is the only confirmed version that will have it.
· For AU – Pre-order the “Special Edition” from EB Games. This is the only confirmed version that will have it.
Booster Pack
· WayneTech booster pack – Only the regular editions will come with this booster pack. Pre-order from Bestbuy (US), Tesco (UK), or JB Hi-Fi (AU).
Skins
· Gotham’s Future skin pack – Pre-order the game on Steam, but this is likely to be a timed exclusive.
· First Appearance skin – Pre-order on Amazon (US). It appears that both regular and Comic Bundle editions will include this, but might be limited to distribution within the US only. No word on its availability for PC.
· New 52 skin pack – Purchase the “Limited Edition” or “Batmobile Edition” of Batman: Arkham Knight.
If you want to get the most out of the game the moment you get it, CabooseXBL recommends getting the Gamestop (and its corresponding stores in other countries) version. It will bag you both story packs, which are the DLC that will give you more playtime. There are a number of timed exclusives, and if you include a Season Pass in your bundle, then you’ll probably get all the other DLC anyway.
Batman: Arkham Knight will be released on June 23 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Have you decided which edition you’re getting?
