Year 2 of Hitman 3 will begin next week and details of what year 2 will contain will be revealed via live stream this Thursday, January 13. The live stream will take place at 3 pm CET/9 am ET/6 am PT. IO Interactive made the announcement on its website, along with a link to watch the year 2 reveal on the Hitman YouTube channel.
Hitman 3 year 2 was previously announced back in November with a video on YouTube. Check out the announcement video below.
In the announcement video, many updates were teased for 2022. Some of the headline announcements for PC users included the upcoming Ray-Tracing and Virtual Reality updates. Those updates were promised for January 2022. Presumably, they will be coming on the 20th when the second year of Hitman 3 officially begins. Hopefully, more details on those updates will be shown in the 15 minute year 2 reveal on Thursday.
As for the expected year 2 content, in November’s announcement video new maps, storylines, and modes were all cited as things to look forward to in year 2. There was also a mention of “new ways of playing” and some surprises for fans of the game. IO says Thursday’s reveal will be “packed full of announcements, reveals and never-before-seen footage of new content coming to the World of Assassination in 2022.”
Hitman 3‘s year one content was headlined by the Seven Deadly Sins Collection which consisted of seven episodic missions and themed content based around each of the seven deadly sins. Each pack contained a mixture of items such as unique suits and weapons along with a new contract. Each Season of Sin lasted for four to six weeks and the episodes could be purchased individually or the entire collection could be purchased as part of one bundle. Each sin pack is sold for $4.99 or $29.99 for the entire collection. Pricing details for the Hitman 3 year 2 content have not been revealed yet.
