Come August 14, 2015, the DC Comics multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) Infinite Crisis will be no more, according to publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
"This was an extremely difficult decision to make," the announcement reads. "On behalf of the entire Infinite Crisis team we want to thank all of you for your feedback, support and for joining together to create one of the best communities in gaming."
Infinite Crisis was developed by Turbine. Taking the popular, but select, MOBA genre and giving it the DC Comics treatment, Infinite Crisis starred several of popular DC characters and several variations on them, and crossed that with the MOBA gameplay you might know of two teams fighting each other in combat while taking down towers and bases until one side is crowned victor by destroying the enemy team’s base.
Prior to its full launch on March 26 for PC, the game was in open beta for about a year.
