Mass Effect fans were treated with the release of Mass Effect Legendary Edition. This was a game that brought out an enhanced edition of the trilogy for modern platforms. So players got enhanced visuals, modern mechanics, and all the content released. That is all the extra content besides one particular DLC.
The DLC that wasn’t picked up was the Pinnacle Station. It was a small DLC that didn’t really add that much thrilling content. Reviews and reception were rather poor, which means there weren’t that many complaints of it being missing. Still, it was a bit of a bummer for those working on the game, aiming to deliver everything. What happened was a bit of an interesting story. While developing the game, BioWare found that their source code was missing for Pinnacle Station.
That’s unfortunate, but they were not the developers behind the DLC. What happened after was a call to the developers that worked on the DLC. Developers Demiurge thought they could deliver by offering their backup codes for Pinnacle Station. Unfortunately, when the files was sent over, BioWare discovered that the content was corrupted, which again left them unable to make an easy update. Instead, the only way around it was to make the DLC from scratch, which would take several months and a ton of resources.
Since the DLC wasn’t something all that notable, BioWare opted to scrap the inclusion of Pinnacle Station. Now it looks like some fans took it upon themselves to add an updated version for the game. A mod has brought this Pinnacle Station back into the game. Of course, this is not an official release, but it’s still something that might take some players by surprise. If you wanted the game DLC in Mass Effect Legendary Edition, then you’re in luck. You just have to follow the steps to get the mod added into the game.
