Saints Row Reboot Will Have More Customization Options Than Ever Before

September 13, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

Get ready for a bigger customization experience.

Saints Row has quite the massive following, and leading up to Gamescom during the Opening Night Live, the stream showcased a Saints Row reboot. Unfortunately, it’s not a game that I think most fans of the franchise was expected. Instead, fans have been vocal about this new direction that developers of Volition were taking the IP. We’re still waiting for more gameplay to be showcased, but the developers are pressing on with this new take on the IP despite fan reception.

We can expect plenty of differences between this new Saints Row title and the past installments that came before it. There’s already a notable change that players will experience with this game and its customization options. In a new blog post from Volition, it looks like the developers wanted to make Saints Row reboot with more customization options than ever before. The post doesn’t offer too many details, but there is more of an in-depth character creator.

Players can also find that the game will feature eight total voice-over tracks, a split between four male and female vocals. Additionally, for clothing, there will be layered options. We don’t have any examples of how robust these customization clothing options are or the character creator itself. That’s not the only customization options that the game will present with players, either.

It looks like there will be a massive array of customization options for vehicles. Any vehicle that players customize will find that the creation will be stored at a garage. So it doesn’t look like you will find yourself having to customize a vehicle every time. Currently, Saints Row will be hitting the marketplace on February 25, 2022. When it does, players can find copies for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
