Batman: Arkham City has recently gotten a delay late into 2015. While many might see this as a bad thing, I don't. Rocksteady Studios, who develops the Batman series of video games, is far too quality of a team to let anything unsatisfactory happen to their baby. If anything, this delay simply means that we'll get a bigger, badder, more expansive Batman: Arkham Knight. So calm down, you guys and gals – Rocksteady knows what's going on.
While news about delays and such have been plentiful, gameplay videos of Arkham Knight have not. A recent gameplay video published by Game Informer's Youtube channel has changed that, as it features a cutscene-based look at one of the game's missions. In this mission, Batman infiltrates a chemical weapons plant that has been taken over by Scarecrow and his minions. We're not sure how far into the game's main campaign is, but we'd be willing to bet that it's closer to the beginning, rather than the end.
That said, Scarecrow is often accompanied by a darker, more poignant supervillain. The most recent movie in the Batman canon – The Dark Knight Rises – is testament to this, showing Scarecrow working alongside Bane. Maybe there's a similar scheme at work in Arkham Knight? We'll just have to wait and see.
At any rate, there should be a lot more content made available by the Game Informer Youtube channel soon. This video is part 1 of a series, so you should definitely keep your eyes peeled for anymore content.
Batman: Arkham Knight releases for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on June 2, 2015.
