Retro City Rampage DX Getting Limited Retail PS4 Release

November 11, 2014 by Tony Ponce

Only 2000 copies will be available in total.

Retro City Rampage DX, the free update to previously released versions of the Grand Theft Auto parody Retro City Rampage, is also coming to PS4. Whereas all other platforms will be restricted to digital downloads, PS4 owners will have the option to puchase a physical disc in December.

Developer Brian Provinciano has partnered with gaming merch outlet Fangamer to sell a limited run of 2000 discs for PS4. It'll come in a shrink wrapped case with a reversible cover, and the disc itself will resemble the box art for Sega Master System games. If you pre-order now for $25, you'll also get a free digital copy of the soundtrack as well as PC and Mac versions of the game for Steam. Sadly, this physical version won't be cross buy compatible with the PS3 and PS Vita digital downloads.

Retro City Rampage DX will be available digitally on Windows, OS X, PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox 360, and Wii later this month.
