Nintendo's latest IP, as we all remember from E3, is a colorful third-person shooter starring squids who can transform into humans. It's four-on-four online multiplayer action — that hasn't changed. However, this latest trailer shows what solo players will have to look forward to.
There will be a single-player campagin in which the squids must do battle with an octopus army. Many of the octopi soldiers are simply sentient tentacles, although there also appears to be an octopus humanoid similar in form to the squids.
Splatoon is currently scheduled for release on Wii U in the second quarter of 2015.
