Destiny’s Newest Video Explores the Surface of Venus

August 18, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Explore Venus in this latest trailer of Destiny.

Bungie has released a new trailer for their upcoming scifi first-person shooter Destiny, giving would-be players a first look at the planet Venus.

“Venus was once the site of a great discovery – a paradise. Now, it is a monument to all that we have lost,” reads the description of Venus.

Like all other planets in the game, Venus is said to be as big as the entirety of the game Halo: Reach. Given that the missions in Reach were fairly huge, it’ll be interesting to see how well the planets in Destiny actually scale.

Previous videos of Destiny have explored the planet Mars, a planet long lost to the Darkness after calamity befell all of humankind.

Activision recently revealed at gamescom that Destiny’s first expansion pack, The Dark Below, will launch on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in December.

Bungie is set for release on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on September 9, 2014.
