Destiny Explores The Surface of Mars in New Trailer

August 15, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Bungie has released a new Destiny trailer that depicts the planet of Mars.

Activision and Bungie have released a brand new trailer for their upcoming scifi-themed first-person shooter, Destiny, which stars Peter Dinklage and a host of other actors of high caliber.

But enough about the actors. The game’s developers have released a new trailer showcasing the planet of Mars, a planet long lost to the Darkness after calamity befell humankind.

“What little we know of Mars may as well be a myth. We built a massive metropolis in the red dust. No one knows what remains of our lost age, now buried beneath the dunes,” reads the press blurb.

“Defeat our enemies. Explore the ancient ruins of our solar system. Become Legend.”

Activision recently revealed at gamescom that Destiny’s first expansion pack, The Dark Below, will launch on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in December.

Destiny is slated for a September 9th release for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Players can pre-order the game ahead of its release for bonuses that’ll be unavailable at any other time—you’ll get access to Vanguard weapons, gear, and a player emblem.
