Fan-favorite characters from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, are slated to join the ever growing cast of warriors in the upcoming Zelda-themed hack-and-slasher from Tecmo Koei and Nintendo, Hyrule Warriors.
According to a newly released video by Tecmo Koei, Hyrule Warriors is getting the addition of three new characters with Sheik, Darunia, and Princess Ruto being added into the ranks. This brings the full roster of playable characters up to a total of 10. More characters are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
All three characters first made appearances in Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64. Of the three, Sheik is the most well known, having appeared in other games outside of Zelda, such as Super Smash Bros.
It’s not yet known how Tecmo Koei intends to address Sheik’s identity in relation to Zelda for this game, considering that the princess herself is already a playable character.
Previous characters to be showcased in the game include Fi from Skyward Sword, Agitha from Twilight Princess, and a newcomer named Lana.
Hyrule Warriors launches September 26 in North America for the Wii U.
