Mortal Kombat X: Raiden Charges Up in His Reveal Trailer

July 14, 2014 by Tony Ponce

The veteran thunder god returns to battle.

Mortal Kombat X gets more old-school representation with the arrival of the thunder god Raiden. Announced at EVO 2014, he brings his signature lightning-based abilities to battle. In the IGN-eclusive trailer above, Raiden is more than happy to dole out electric pain to series newcomer Kotal Khan.

With Raiden's arrival, the Mortal Kombat X cast is up to seven confirmed characters. Scorpion and Sub-Zero naturally crash the party, but fresh on the block are Mr. Khan up there, D'Vorah, the duo of Ferra and Torr, and Cassie Cage, daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade.

Mortal Kombat X arrives on Windows, PS4, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 some time in 2015.
