Mighty No. 9 developer Comcept has put together a new video showcasing the state of the game, which is currently in development after a successful round of funding on Kickstarter last year.
The game really looks like a spiritual sequel (which is what it’s supposed to be) to the Mega Man series of games by Capcom, whose creators—notably Keiji Inafune—went on to work on Mighty No. 9.
Running at about a minute and a half in length, the video shows the game’s protagonist Beck as he traverses through a stage, killing a variety of robots in his way, dashing beneath bullets, and making short work of a couple of bosses: No. 2 and No. 5.
Needless to say, Comcept has its work cut out for it, but they seem to have a good grasp of what they’re doing.
