ORIGINAL STORY: Sony has announced that all PlayStation Plus subscribers will have access to the beta for Bungie's Destiny when it launches early on PS3 and PS4 next month.
In an update on the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Plus content manager Chris Howe wrote:
"I hope you’ve recovered from the excitement of E3 and are ready for an epic July. Not only are we bringing you a great mix of games but there’s also the Destiny beta, which kicks off on 17th July exclusively on PlayStation. If you’re a PlayStation Plus member you will be able to fully experience Destiny and its incredible multiplayer."
Community manager Chris Owen confirmed the news on his Twitter account. Previously, the only confirmed way to gain access to the beta was to pre-order the game.
PlayStation owners also enjoyed an exclusive alpha earlier this month which saw six million games played and Bungie is using the feedback to shape the final game.
In addition, the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game will have exclusive content for one year following Destiny's launch. There will also be a white PS4 bundle including the game when it launches on all platforms on September 9th.
