Take Two has extended the trademark for Rockstar's Agent once again with the United States Patents and Trademarks Office (USPTO).
The game was announced during Sony's press conference at E3 2009 as a PS3 exclusive and virtually nothing has been heard of the Cold War spy thriller since.
Agent, being developed by Rockstar North – creators of Grand Theft Auto, is listed as 'coming soon' on the developer's Italian website.
Take Two recently revealed that Rockstar is making a game for PS4 and Xbox One which will be released on or before March 31st, 2015. Most speculation points to a port of Grand Theft Auto 5 but maybe this long absent game could make a re-appearence. We may know more after E3 next month.
The last time Take Two renewed the trademark was July, 2013. In May of last year, Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said the company is developing a major new IP commenting, "We also have an extraordinary pipeline of titles in development for next-generation platforms, including groundbreaking new intellectual property and releases from our proven franchises.”
Hopefully Agent has just been deep undercover all this time.
