Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare GameStop Pre-Order Bonus Announced

May 22, 2014 by Stephen Daly

You’ll get a double sided poster for your deposit.

If you're planning to pre-order Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare but haven't decided where and have some rather boring walls at home GameStop has announced that they will be giving a free poster to anyone who books the shooter at one of their stores.

As you can see from the image above, it seems the poster will be double sided alowing you to display protagonist Mitchell with helicopters flying past and the Golden Gate Bridge in the background or a close up of his chest if, you know, you're into that kind of thing.

Advanced Warfare is being developed by Sledgehammer, who co-created Modern Warfare 3, and they're taking a lot of steps to make Mitchell's story a compelling one. Gone are the voiceover on maps of past Call of Duty games and in are fully rendered cut scenes in which Mitchell will actually speak (he's voiced by Troy Baker).

The game's story took two and a half years to write and Sledgehammer want to create something which will have the same kind of cultural impact as Game of Thrones' infamous Red Wedding.

Sledgehammer is developing the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of Advanced Warfare while another studio tackles PS3 and Xbox 360. If you've already pre-ordered the game you can still get the poster by returning to the store while online customers need to show their confirmation email.
