First Look at Xbox One Exclusive Sunset Overdrive

May 8, 2014 by Yesika Reyes

Have a glimpse at actual gameplay of Sunset Overdrive.

Today, Xbox released an actual first look video at their upcoming Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive. The only footage previously revealed was only a CGI trailer without gameplay. Thankfully, the latest video gives us a glimpse of the story, factions, weapons, and various aspects of combat.

The game is set in the near future in Sunset City  wherein an energy drink either kills or turns people into mutants. While we might have seen this setting before, it certainly takes a lighter and wackier approach this time around. Players can move around through wall running, zip-lines, and acrobatics.

You will also encounter some lively and interesting factions along the way. Only two were revealed so far: There's a faction of wannabe samurais and another that are comprised of live action role-players. Additionally, there are also a variety of enemies you could encounter and they aren't just mutants.

It certainly won't be a serious game since you'll have weapons that'll cause hilarity to ensue like TNT Teddy and many other wacky weapons. Be sure to check the video out and see it for yourself.

A few days ago Sunset Overdrive launched a promotional website that features the infamous energy drink. We also uncovered new details about the game in the same time period.

Sunset Overdrive is expected to launch in 2014 as an Xbox One exclusive.
