I won’t fault you if you’re not familiar with Project GG. The video game title was only first teased at the start of this year and this year alone has been quite the eventful one. There were so many lows to 2020 that it’s easy to forget some of the highs. At any rate, PlatinumGames brought out Project GG to the world at the end of February of 2020.
PlatinumGames has been around for quite a few years now after it got started in 2007. Likewise, the studio has delivered more than a few iconic titles such as The Wonderful 101, Bayonetta, Nier: Automata, and Astral Chain. However, there was another project that the studio was hoping to get off the ground which is Project GG. Little information was known about this video game title and as you know several studios got projects pushed back due to the coronavirus health pandemic outbreak that hit the entire world.
What was showcased so far about Project GG is that this would be a hero-based video game title. More details would have likely come out already, but there are other projects in the works from PlatinumGames that fans are just as eager to hear more about. For instance, we know that Bayonetta 3 is in development and that the project is currently going smoothly despite the virus outbreak.
Now we’re finding out that Project GG is starting up development. We’re not sure just how far into development the studio is at right now, but Hideki Kamiya spoke to Famitsu recently and revealed that the upcoming video game project has finally started to move and ask fans to look forward to the upcoming video game. At this point, we’re wondering just what this game will be about and even its official name. For now, we’ll have to wait a bit longer but hopefully, we’ll hear something about Project GG within the upcoming year, 2021.
