According to a press release, Ubisoft announced that their upcoming open world racing game The Crew will be released this coming fall. However, no specific date was mentioned. A new gameplay trailer was also released to accompany this announcement.
The game was revealed sometime last year and it was one of the most hyped next-generation titles. It was expected to be released in the earlier months of 2014, but the game was unfortunately delayed alongside Ubisoft's other title Watch Dogs.
The newly released gameplay video features four cars cruising together as a crew through iconic regions of the United States as it boasts the game's expansive open world.
There are two editions for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 that are now available for pre-order: "The Limited Edition will grant early access to rides that will prepare gamers for any road—and off-road—conditions. Players who pre-order this edition will receive early access to the BMW Z4 sDrive35is, Mini Cooper S, and Dodge Ram SRT-10 and their respective sets of full custom and performance parts. The Muscle Edition, which can only be pre-ordered at GameStop, will include all early unlock content from the Limited Edition and will also grant exclusive early access to the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. Both Editions include 10,000 bonus Crew Credits. Players can pre-order The Crew for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at their local retailers," the press release states.
It is unspecified if these editions will also be available for Windows PC players. Additionally, the press release also included gorgeous screenshots and artwork of the cars featured in the game. Check out the gallery for more vehicular eye candy.
The Crew is set for release this coming Fall for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PS4.
