The Crew Delayed Further into 2014

October 15, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

The Crew pushes its release from Q1 to at least July of 2014.

Ubisoft pushes another game deeper into 2014 with the delay of their open world racer, The Crew.

Alongside the announcement of the Watch Dogs delay, Ubisoft pushes The Crew from the first quarter of 2014 until the publisher's fiscal second quarter. With the delay, racing fans should expect to see The Crew between July and September of 2014.

Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, decided to delay Watch Dogs and The Crew to "fully realize the major potential" of the new franchises with the new hardware. Ubisoft feels that the extra development time will benefit both players and shareholders when they both release.

The Crew debuted at E3 this year and aimed for releases on next generation platforms. With the brand new console hardware, The Crew encouraged players to drive around in with friends in a persistent, online world.

The Crew will launch on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
