Famous Artist Yoshitaka Amano Creates Child of Light Artwork

April 7, 2014 by Yesika Reyes

Yoshitaka Amano teams up with Ubisoft to create unique artwork for Child of Light Deluxe Edition.

Today, Ubisoft announced their partnership with world renowned artist Yoshitaka Amano through a YouTube video. He will be contributing unique artwork for the deluxe edition of Child of Light.

Yoshitaka Amano is a famous Japanese artist, illustrator, and character designer. He rose to prominence for his work on the anime adaptation of Speed Racer in the 1960s. In the gaming world, he is best known for his comissions illustrations for the popular video game franchise Final Fantasy.

The game was first announced in August of 2013 as a JRPG inspired side-scrolling fairytale game. We know that the game will adopt an ATB (active time battle) system for its combat. Additionally, a developer diary showcased its protagonist in battle and its own art. Interestingly, the art for the game was said to be inspired by Amano earlier on. It's a nice surprise to have him involved in the project recently.

The game will be released on April 30th, 2014 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and Microsoft Windows for $14.99
