Wasteland 2, inXile Entertainment’s Kickstarted RPG for the PC, is taking a big step forward. A new update has been released that adds over 2000 bug fixes, fresh gameplay features, greater performance optimizations, and balance changes that move the game from Early Access to what the company is calling, “early beta.” Additional hours of gameplay have also been implemented.
The developer notes the Prison level as one of the major additions, where players will be forced to combat enemies with greater offensive and defensive capabilities than what’s been seen before. It’ll take smarter tactics to make it to the end of this harrowing location, but there are a handful of other new settings that will help prepare the Rangers for the tougher combat.
Along with additional random encounters, Wasteland 2 players can expect shotgun and SMG spreads, the use of skills in combat, destructible cover, stances, death animations, improved visual effects, and smarter AI.
As of now, 30 hours of gameplay are waiting for those interested in Wasteland 2.
