Titanfall PC Skipping Steam, Exclusive to Origin

February 4, 2014 by Josiah Renaudin

Respawn Entertainment’s upcoming Titanfall won’t be making an appearance on Steam.

Let’s recap the recent Titanfall news, shall we? We know that the game has beta that’s quickly approaching and just recently learned that the Xbox 360 version of the game is being developed by Bluepoint Games. The PC specs were just revealed today by Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella, but the steady stream of mech-related facts doesn’t end there. Zampella also confirmed that Titanfall will be skipping out on Steam and committing to Origin.

It makes some sense, since EA is publishing the massive first-person shooter. However, few people prefer EA’s online distribution service over the widely used Valve option. One fan didn’t seem too enthused on Twitter.

@Klink77 yes it does, we'll miss you 🙁

It doesn’t sound like this particular gamer will be battling Titans this spring.
